How Your Missions Offering Makes an Impact

This Christmas season, we have a goal of collecting $20,000 to invest in two international Vineyard churches. The money we collect between December 23 and 31 for our 2018 Missions Offering will go to the Vineyard Church of Zimbabwe and a sister church in Costa Rica.

You can give toward the Missions Offering at the Vineyard Christmas Service on Dec. 23 or during the main service on Dec. 31. You can also give online.

As a church, we are invested in bringing the good news of Jesus from our neighborhoods to “the ends of the earth.” You can be a part of that through participating in the 2018 Missions Offering. Please consider making a generous gift toward our support of two international Vineyard churches.

Vineyard North has a 20-year partnership with the Vineyard Church of Zimbabwe and is committed to financially supporting a church plant in the capital, Harare, under the leadership of Romelus & Sile Malinga. Zimbabwe is a nation devastated by corrupt government, 80 percent-plus unemployment, starvation and hopelessness. Last month saw the long-awaited ousting of a dictator in power for 39 years. The change brings hope and uncertainty, and further opportunity for the Church of Zimbabwe to be God’s light in a dark world.

Our Costa Rica partnership began in 2007, assisting a church plant among the poorest in the nation. Today, the church is thriving under the leadership of Pastors David and Angie Jimenez, and yet we continue to give support as we might a sister church through occasional visits, funding for special projects, scholarships for kids, and more.

In 2018, we hope to send a team to both these nations. We also plan to send Vineyard leaders to Hong Kong to receive training under Jackie Pullinger. Please prayerfully consider your year-end gift as we do together what none of us can do alone…build churches that proclaim the kingdom of Jesus throughout the world.
